Thor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to own the Civil, Structural and Architectural scope on a Fyresdal site. You will manage CSA works end-to-end, coordinating with MEP and specialists to ensure timely delivery and high standards of safety and quality.

The role requires 8–10 years in construction with 4–5 years in a Site Manager or Senior role, plus proven CSA exposure on commercial or industrial projects and data centre experience.

Competenze

• Bachelor-level or higher in Civil/Construction fields with relevant experience.
• 8–10 years in construction with 4–5 years as Site Manager or Senior Site Agent.
• Proven CSA experience on commercial or industrial projects.
• Experience on data centre projects is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Norwegian HSE regulations and Byggherreforskriften.

Our client is an established construction and engineering contractor delivering large-scale, high-specification projects. With a strong pipeline of data centre and commercial developments, they are looking for an experienced Site Manager to take full ownership of the Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) scope on site in Fyresdal.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all CSA works on site, from earthworks, foundations and structure through to building envelope, finishes and handover
• Plan, coordinate and sequence trades and subcontractors to meet programme, budget and quality targets
• Manage the interface with MEP and specialist contractors, ensuring CSA readiness for services installation and commissioning
• Drive site safety (HSE/HMS) in line with Norwegian regulations, including the Construction Client Regulations (Byggherreforskriften), SHA plans, site inspections and incident reporting
• Enforce quality through inspection and test plans, documentation, snagging and defect closure
• Review drawings and specifications, raise RFIs and manage design changes on site
• Track progress, manpower, plant and materials, and report to the Project Manager and client
• Manage subcontractor performance, site labour and stakeholder relations
• Support progress claims and variation records with accurate site documentation
• Lead the site team and manage close-out and handover
• Qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building or a related field (diploma or degree)
• Minimum [8-10] years' construction experience, with at least [4-5] years as a Site Manager or Senior Site Agent
• Proven hands-on CSA experience on commercial or industrial projects
• Experience on data center projects
• Sound knowledge of construction HSE legislation and practice
• Strong planning, programme and subcontractor management skills
• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera
• Right to work in Norway / EU/EEA citizenship
