Job summary

Canoe in Stavanger, Norway is seeking a senior design leader to own large parts of the design life cycle and drive end-to-end solutions for clients. You will lead presentations, shape creative concepts, mentor teams, and stay ahead of industry trends while translating stakeholder goals into simple, effective user experiences.

The role requires 5+ years of senior design experience, strong leadership, and a passion for evolving best practices in design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in design.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a senior position.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Addicted to staying ahead of best practices, design methodologies and trends.
• Fluent in translating stakeholder goals, user research, and complexity to simplexitity.
• Comfortable with ambiguity.
• AI toolkits for project research.
• Proficiency in tools such Figma, Miro and a Sharpie.
• Fluent in a Scandinavian language.
• Have a local client network in Stavanger or nationally.
