Job summary

Engineering Consultants Norway AS in Stavanger is seeking an experienced Telecom/Instrumentation/Automation engineer for offshore projects. Required are a relevant degree (BSc/MSc or Tech College with oil & gas experience), at least 5 years offshore, and strong knowledge of telecom systems, ATEX standards, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecom/Instrumentation/Automation.
• Alternatively a Technical College degree with extensive oil & gas project experience.
• At least 5 years offshore-related project experience.
• Strong knowledge of ATEX standards and client systems.
• Excellent knowledge of telecommunication systems, network infrastructure, and fiber-optic technologies used in oil & gas.
• Proficiency in Norwegian or English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Prepare job packages and follow up on deliveries.
• Discipline check of design basis (studies, drawings, and job packages).
• Follow up with suppliers, package responsibility.
• Participate in pre-test/FAT at the supplier.
• Participate in inspections onshore/offshore.
• Able to take on training responsibilities for new engineers.
• Perform as-built.
• Detailed design of telecom tasks.
• Participate in studies.
• Estimate telecom tasks.
