Job summary

TechnipFMC plc in Kongsberg is seeking a Senior System Engineer to lead engineering work in LoF projects within the Controls & Automation team. You will own the sub-system design, scope, studies and support project engineers, handling technical negotiations with clients and coordinating interfaces with other disciplines.

You'll oversee testing of scope (EFAT), write procedures, and lead tests in collaboration with project engineers and service personnel.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in an Engineering discipline.
Extensive experience in hydraulic and electric engineering.
Strong understanding of subsea engineering principles, products and systems.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

Ensure that the system delivered will cover the operational needs as well as being within the given regulations and requirements.
Build and maintain the Bill of Material for the project.
Own the Scope of Supply for the project deliveries.
Work closely with the customer's Lead Engineer, on operational needs and solutions.
Oversee the Project Engineer's work for the project. New solutions and reuse of existing equipment.
Final system testing (EFAT). Write the procedure and lead the test in collaboration with Project Engineers, Service Personnel and Test Manager.
