Job summary

IKM is seeking a mechanical engineering professional for onshore and offshore IMR tasks in Stavanger. You will participate in planning, preparation, and execution, and develop methods and scopes for subsea activities.

The role requires a BSc or MSc in mechanical engineering or related field, offshore experience with ROV systems, and strong analytical skills. English and Norwegian are required; full-time assignment from October 2026 to September 2027.

• Contribute to analysis, propose improvements, and support their implementation.
• Utilize expertise in maritime subjects for project execution.
• Develop methods and review the scope for IMR activities.
• Act as a company representative during offshore operations.
• Lead and plan maintenance scopes for subsea assets as required.
• Monitor and report on cost and schedule performance.
• Structure and complement collected data such as video, subsea status, and lessons learned.

Required expertise

• BSc or MSc in mechanical engineering, subsea, controls/cybernetics, marine technology, or a similar field.
• Experience from offshore operations, particularly with ROV systems (operations and/or maintenance) is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• A strong commitment to and track record of contributing to HSSEQ performance and culture.
• A certificate of apprenticeship in a relevant subject is considered an advantage.
