Job summary

Atlas NextWave seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead offshore project activities in Stavanger, focusing on field development, decommissioning and M&M management within the Projects, Technical Services and Late Life teams.

The role requires a strong technical background with offshore oil and gas project experience, including decommissioning, and the ability to navigate regulatory interfaces while working within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Significant experience from offshore oil and gas projects.
• Experience with subsea and/or offshore decommissioning.
• Good understanding of decommissioning concepts, disposal options and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Experience with technical studies, SOW development, tendering, and contractor follow-up.
• Experience with preparation and/or review of regulatory documentation and authority interfaces.
• Experience supporting project Decision Gate (DG) processes.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned activities while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Norwegian is an advantage.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager on behalf of our client.
The role will be part of the project activities in the Projects, Technical Services and Late Life department project team.

The responsibilities of the position may involve a wide range of activities such as:

• Field development of a subsea asset
• Decommissioning of subsea assets
• Management of M&M activities

The position will require flexibility in relation to the above and may therefore change over the duration of the assignment.

Qualifications and experience

We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background and relevant experience from offshore oil and gas projects. Experience from decommissioning and late-life projects will be highly advantageous.

• Engineering degree or equivalent relevant technical education
• Significant experience from offshore oil and gas projects
• Experience with subsea and/or offshore decommissioning
• Good understanding of decommissioning concepts, disposal alternatives and applicable regulatory requirements
• Experience with technical studies, SOW development, tendering, and contractor follow-up
• Experience with preparation and/or review of regulatory documentation and authority interfaces
• Experience supporting project Decision Gate (DG) processes
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned activities while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary project team
