Job summary

Omega 365 Consulting in Bergen is seeking an experienced instrumentation engineer for offshore and onshore oil & gas projects. You will perform detailed design, participate in studies, prepare job packages, and support project execution from study through completion.

The role requires a solid track record in instrumentation engineering, knowledge of brownfield modifications, and familiarity with ProCoSys, ARIS, ATEX, and NORSOK standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation/Automation Hardware or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in offshore/onshore oil & gas projects.
• Proven track record in instrumentation engineering and design.

Responsibilities

• Detailed design of instrumentation tasks.
• Participate in studies.
• Estimate instrumentation tasks.
• Prepare job packages and follow up on deliveries.
• Discipline check of design basis (studies, drawings, and job packages).
• Follow up with suppliers, package responsibility.
• Participate in pre-test/FAT at the supplier.
• Participate in inspections onshore/offshore.
• Able to take on training responsibilities for new engineers.
• Perform as-built.

Assignment Description

• Detailed design of instrumentation tasks.
• Participate in studies.

• Alternatively, a Technical College degree with extensive experience in VEM.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience from offshore and/or onshore oil & gas projects.
• Proven track record in instrumentation engineering and design.
• Extensive knowledge of brownfield modifications and work on operating facilities.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems and field equipment used in the oil and gas industry.
• Good understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.
• Experience with ATEX, NORSOK, STID, ProCoSys, and ARIS.
• Fluent in Norwegian and/or English, both written and spoken
• Ability to take ownership of engineering activities and support project execution from study phase through completion.
• Experience with preparatiln of tenders, tie-back developments, and metering systems is considered an advantage.
