Job summary

Uniper in Oslo is seeking a Global Origination professional to expand the Nordics pipeline, build relationships with producers, customers and trading counterparties, and originate PPA transactions and other power deals.

You will execute transactions in line with internal controls and help maximize the value of existing contracts, while providing market intelligence to define portfolio strategy; fluency in English is essential, with Nordic language skills a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong network across producers, customers and trading counterparties.
• Proven track-record origination, negotiation and closing power deals.
• Solid understanding of Nordic power market and regulatory developments.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and can-do attitude to grow the business.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaborative work style.
• Understanding of risk concepts including credit, market, liquidity and operational risks.
• Experience with various power transaction contracts.
• Fluent in English; Swedish or Norwegian a plus.

Responsibilities

• Expand pipeline of potential power transactions in the Nordics by building relationships and understanding commercial requirements.
• Originate downstream sale opportunities with industrial and trading counterparties.
• Originate PPAs with asset owners, including route to market or balancing structures.
• Originate other power transactions (e.g., flexibility, derivatives) per portfolio strategy.
• Execute transactions adhering to internal controls and compliance.
• Help maximize value of existing contracts.
• Champion process improvements to handle high deal flow.
• Provide market intelligence to shape product and portfolio strategy.
• Spot strategic commercial initiatives in a fast-changing market and promote them internally.
