Job summary

Mitchell McDermott in Norway is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (MEP) for a high-profile Data Centre project. You will lead on-site activities, manage Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing works, and collaborate with clients to optimise progress, safety and quality.

The role requires a strong background in construction consultancy, data centre projects, and exceptional leadership and reporting skills.

Qualifications

Relevant third level qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience in Construction Consultancy, Client or Developer role.
Experience in Data Centre projects.
MEP scope knowledge: pre-construction MEP design, HVAC, chilled water, HV substations, cable installations, commissioning/testing.
Excellent leadership skills.
High level of reporting skills.
Proficient in preparing and analysing construction programmes.
Contract administration experience advantageous.
Excellent communication and computer skills.
Strong eye for detail.
Motivated, diligent team player.

Responsibilities

Be a visible on-site leader, assessing progress and enforcing safe MEP practices.
Identify issues proactively and work with the team to resolve them.
Implement and monitor project processes, partnering with the client for improvements.
Lead and attend key meetings, monitoring progress and communicating impacts.
Implement project procedures and ensure they are observed.
