Job summary

Kongsberg Maritime is seeking a senior engineer to lead structural design and analysis for winches, handling equipment, and related structures. The role focuses on FEM, 3D mechanical design, and collaboration across project teams to meet safety and performance standards.

Based in Norway, you will contribute to the product development lifecycle, support manufacturing and quality assurance, and engage with customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree within mechanical engineering or similar.
• Competence within mechanical 3D-design (NX/Teamcenter).
• Experience with Finite Element Method (FEM) and structural analysis.
• Maritime industry or offshore marine operations experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Structural design, analysis, and verification of new products and engineering solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Execute customer deliveries.
• Design and verification of winches and other handling equipment.
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing, procurement, testing, certification, and quality assurance.
• Support sales with solutions and offers for customers.
