Job summary

Nord Gas Solutions is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead hands-on work on LNG, LPG, biogas, and related projects in Norway. You will take full responsibility for equipment packages from the initial specification through purchasing, testing, and delivery.

The role requires senior mechanical experience with static or rotating equipment, strong project coordination with customers, suppliers, and class societies, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Senior mechanical engineer with hands-on project experience.
• Experience with static or rotating equipment.
• Knowledge of LNG/LPG or offshore projects is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and take full responsibility.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Has valid work authorization for listed locations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment specifications and datasheets
• Review supplier offers and support purchasing
• Prepare and follow up on purchase orders
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and class societies
• Oversee factory testing, installation, and commissioning
• Ensure timely delivery and documentation
• Maintain safety and quality standards
