Job summary

Nord Gas Solutions is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take full responsibility for assigned equipment packages on LNG, LPG, biogas, offshore, and vessel-conversion projects. You’ll own specifications, select equipment, review supplier offers, and support testing and delivery with customers and engineering teams.

The role is based in Asker, Norway, with five days onsite or a possible hybrid arrangement.

Qualifications

Senior-level experience in mechanical engineering.
Hands-on experience with static or rotating equipment.
Experience with pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, or compressors.
Experience from LNG, LPG, LNG FSRU, biogas, offshore, maritime, or process-industry projects.
Knowledge of equipment specifications, supplier documentation, and technical bid evaluations.
The ability to work independently and take full responsibility for your equipment.
Good written and spoken English.
A relevant engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Take full responsibility for assigned mechanical equipment from specification through testing and delivery.
Prepare equipment specifications, datasheets, and technical documents.
Select static and rotating equipment.
Review supplier offers and support purchasing activities.
Prepare and follow up on purchase orders.
Work with customers, suppliers, class societies, and engineering teams.
Review supplier documents and follow up on manufacturing and delivery.
Support factory testing, installation, commissioning, and start-up.
