Job summary

Nordic Batteries AS is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for mechanical design and system engineering of our battery packs. You will report to the Head of Production and lead the mechanical design work to deliver high-quality packs in a fast-growing scale-up.

You should have a strong background in 3D CAD (Siemens NX) and PLM (Teamcenter), and be able to collaborate across functions to enable automated manufacturing in a Norwegian battery value-chain project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Proven experience with product and system design.
• Strong understanding of Design for Assembly (DfA) and automated production.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D designs of complex battery systems within a PLM environment (NX / Teamcenter).
• Design components and develop optimized assemblies for automated manufacturing.
• Prepare technical documentation and product-related documentation.
• Perform thermal and structural analyses/simulations to optimize designs.
• Validate designs and simulation results through physical testing.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure systems meet requirements.
