Job summary

Energy As is seeking a seasoned materials engineer to lead the discipline for materials within offshore projects. You will evaluate material solutions for pipes, valves and equipment, oversee procurement packages and supplier relations, and perform discipline checks of certificates and procedures for materials, welding, NDT and surface treatment.

As a materials engineer, you will engage in both study and detailed design projects. This role entails taking on the discipline responsibility for materials within the project.

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in materials technology or a related field
• Significant relevant experience can substitute for formal education

Required Work Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
• Experience with maintenance and modification work

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of offshore process systems
• Strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards, such as PTIL, NORSOK, and API standards
