Job summary

Energy As is seeking a seasoned materials engineer to lead the discipline for materials within offshore projects. You will evaluate material solutions for pipes, valves and equipment, oversee procurement packages and supplier relations, and perform discipline checks of certificates and procedures for materials, welding, NDT and surface treatment.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
• Experience with maintenance and modification work
• Knowledge of offshore process systems
• Strong understanding of PTIL, NORSOK, and API standards

Responsibilities

• Evaluate optimal material solutions for pipes, valves, and equipment
• Oversee procurement packages and supplier relations
• Conduct discipline checks of certificates and procedures for materials, welding, NDT, and surface treatment
• Provide advice and evaluations on materials and corrosion-related damage mechanisms
• Create documentation and reports
