Job summary

Harrison Holgate in London seeks an experienced Senior Marine Technician / Account Handler to join its Marine team. The role combines technical servicing and account handling across a portfolio of Marine risks, with close collaboration with Brokers, Underwriters and clients.

You will own accounts, ensure documentation is accurate and timely, and deliver a high standard of service in a Hybrid, Permanent, Full-Time capacity within the London Market.

Qualifications

• Extensive London Market marine experience is required.
• Strong account-handling and client service skills.
• Ability to own and manage a portfolio end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day administration and technical servicing for a Marine insurance portfolio.
• Provide full account-handling support to Brokers across new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments.
• Prepare and process MRC slips, endorsements, cover notes and policy documentation.
• Liaise with Lloyd’s and market Underwriters for information, quotations and amendments.
• Handle additional and return premiums, cancellations and policy adjustments.
• Ensure timely processing of premiums, invoices and documentation.
• Monitor documentation to meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, brokers, Underwriters, IBA and Claims for queries.
• Support brokers with renewals, new business placements and ongoing account management.
• Assist with renewal documentation and client presentations as required.
• Maintain accurate records and keep systems up to date.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members and ensure FCA/Lloyd’s procedures are followed.
