What is an Account Solution Engineer?
Also known as a “Presales”, “Solution Advisor”, “Sales Consultant,” or “Sales Engineer,” the Account Solution Engineer is responsible for owning the solutions throughout the sales cycle and delivering thought leadership to companies to transform their customer’s experience. The Solution Consultant works alongside colleagues, participates in building our team culture, and supports their aligned sales team to create solutions for prospects and customers. To accomplish this, you should have a strong desire to set the vision, translating business objectives into enticing and practical recommendations. The Solution Consultant acts as a trusted advisor to our customers while aiding their transformational journey.
Your Responsibilities:
- Drive digital transformation through market‑leading AI Agents technology
- Develop and deliver innovative custom solutions, including solution concepts to key decision makers to address their business issues and needs, showing business value
- Coordinate and lead the entire solution cycle through close collaboration with other high‑performing teams
- Incorporate industry experience and develop a point of view based on Salesforce’s solutions
- Fully understand and clearly articulate the benefits of Salesforce to customers at every level, including Administration/IT Staff, managers, and C‑level executives
- Present compelling Salesforce & partner solutions while supporting relationships with customers and partners
- Display initiative, self‑motivation, and deliver high‑quality results while meeting all expectations
- Demonstrate technical skills to handle demonstrations & POCs and conduct conversations with both the business and IT side at customers
Personality Attributes and Experience:
- Understand the unique business requirements of customers within multiple industries and translate/present those needs into a compelling vision and roadmap for our customers
- Track record of solution engineering, consultancy, delivery, or training success for a software solution organization. We are open to a variety of backgrounds for the role
- Solid oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication and relationship skills
- Proven time‑management skills in a dynamic team environment
- Ability to work as part of a team or to lead a team to solve problems in dynamic, fast‑changing, energizing environments
- Inquisitive, practical, and passionate about technology and sharing knowledge
- Enjoy being the first to know something and to understand why and how things happen
- Good at searching out information, experimenting, concentrating on a particular topic, and solving puzzles
- Good at explaining ideas and finding ways to keep people’s attention
- Willing and able to travel occasionally
- Degree or equivalent proven experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core proficiencies for the role (e.g., extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Solid verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand customer business goals and map those to the right technology solutions on the Salesforce platform and within our ecosystem of partners
- Prior experience in accounting, finance, computer science, software engineering, MIS, or equivalent
- Previous experience and/or certifications in Salesforce core solutions, such as Sales, Service, B2B Commerce, Analytics, Net Zero Cloud, and Platform Cloud solutions
- Understanding of fundamentals of BI, business analytics, and/or machine learning
- Understanding of and exposure to predictive AI, generative AI solutions, and workflow tools
- Experience with data storage & integration solutions, like Data Cloud, CDPs, DWHs, Data Lakes, ETL, and data modeling is considered advantageous
- Experience leading and orchestrating a sales cycle, which requires involvement of multiple internal and external resources
- Experience presenting and hosting webinars or public speaking
- Fluent language skills in Norwegian & English
- Ability to run customer meetings with Norwegian customers in local language
- Deep skills in Swedish or Danish can potentially compensate for Norwegian
- The company language is English, including corporate communication and meetings
