IKM Consultants AS in Bergen seeks a senior Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineer to lead detailed design work for offshore and onshore projects. You will estimate task scopes, prepare comprehensive job packages, and coordinate with suppliers.

The role includes pre-test participation, discipline checks, and occasional offshore travel. Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation/Automation and at least 8 years of relevant experience, with knowledge of ATEX,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instrumentation/Automation or technical college with extensive VEM experience.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience from offshore and/or onshore oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, field equipment, and control systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical).
• Extensive knowledge of brownfield modifications and working operating facilities.
• Experience with industry standards and tools such as ATEX, NORSOK, STID, ProCoSys, and ARIS.
• Required certifications: Basic EX course, FSE high/low voltage with first aid, Offshore certificate with HUET, and a valid health certificate.

Responsabilités

• Perform detailed design of instrumentation tasks and participate in technical studies.
• Estimate instrumentation tasks and prepare comprehensive job packages.
• Follow up with suppliers and take on package responsibility, including pre-test/FAT participation.
• Conduct discipline checks of design basis, including studies, drawings, and job packages.
• Participate in onshore and offshore inspections.
• Take on training responsibilities for new engineers and perform as-built updates.
