Job summary

MDE Norway is seeking a Senior Discipline Responsible Engineer (Senior DRE) to oversee discipline engineering activities on offshore projects and ensure work follows plan with changes logged. You will produce, revise, and approve documentation and drawings, and coordinate with clients and vendors to identify optimal technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree; lack of education requires 10–15 years of relevant work experience.
• More than 10 years experience in engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Must have knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as NORSOK, PTIL and API standards.
• High degree of self-learning skills.
• Good communication.
• Excellent Norwegian and English writing & speaking skills.
• Knowledge of modifications on offshore installations when in operation.
• Grunnleggende EX kurs, enten 22,5 timer i klasserom eller 6–8 timer online.
• FSE høy og lavtspent med førstehjelp.

Responsibilities

• Senior DRE oversees discipline engineering activities and ensures work follows plan and changes are logged.
• Produce/understand new documentation and drawings such as Cause & Effect, System Control Diagrams (SCD), loop drawings for process, Fire & Gas and safety systems; IS Loop Calculations.
• Revise existing documentation and drawings.
• Discipline check and approval of produced documents and drawings in the project.
• Order all instrument materials needed for offshore installation.
• Must be able to understand P&IDs and drawings from different disciplines.
• Discussions with client and vendor representatives in order to find optimal technical solutions.
