Job summary

Head Energy seeks a Senior Instrument Engineer for offshore installation projects. You will lead discipline engineering activities, produce and revise critical instrument documentation, and ensure changes are logged and controlled.

You will order materials, review P&IDs, and coordinate with clients and vendors to determine optimal technical solutions. The role requires a Bachelor or Master degree (or 10–15 years relevant oil and gas experience) and fluency in Norwegian and English.

• Bachelor or Master degree; 10-15 years of relevant work experience as alternative
• More than 10 years experience in Oil & Gas engineering
• Knowledge of NORSOK, PTIL and API standards
• High degree of self-learning
• Strong communication skills; excellent Norwegian and English writing & speaking

Responsibilities

• Senior DRE is responsible for discipline engineering activities and reporting progress
• Produce and revise documentation and drawings (SCD, loop drawings, IS calculations)
• Discipline check and approve documents/drawings
• Order instrument materials for offshore installation
• Understand P&IDs and drawings from multiple disciplines
• Interact with client and vendor to identify optimal technical solutions

• Basic EX course (22.5 hours classroom or 6-8 hours online)

Job Description:

• Senior Discipline Responsible Engineer (Senior DRE) is responsible for discipline engineering activities.
• The Senior DRE shall ensure that the work within the discipline is carried out according to plan and that progress is reported.

The Senior DRE shall ensure that potential changes/deviations are identified and logged in accordance with project change control system.

• Produce/understand new documentation and drawings such as Cauce&Effect, System Control Diagrams (SCD) diagrams, loop drawings for process, Fire&Gas and safety systems; IS Loop Calculations.
• Revise existing documentation and drawings.
• Discipline check and approval of produced documents and drawings in the project.
• Order all instrument materials needed for offshore installation.
• Must be able to understand P&IDs and drawings from different disciplines.
• Discussions with Client and vendor representatives in order to find optimal technical solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master degree
  Lack of education requires 10-15 years of relevant work experience
• More than 10 years experience in engineering within the Oil&Gas industry.
• Must have knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as NORSOK, PTIL and API standards
• High degree of self learning skills
• Good communication
• Excellent Norwegian and English writing & speaking skills

Knowledge of modifications on offshore installations when in operation
