Job summary

Planet is seeking a Senior Program Manager for Defense and Intelligence to lead the Professional Services team across multiple projects globally. You will guide strategy, ensure successful customer engagements, and oversee delivery of geospatial solutions at scale from our hybrid offices.

The role emphasizes leadership, complex problem solving, and direct collaboration with customers, partners, and internal teams. UK salary range applies with potential discretionary bonuses and equity.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• 4+ years supervisory / leadership experience.
• Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Remote Sensing, Geography, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Professional Services Solutions architects, deployment strategists and Software Engineers.
• Guide the strategy and execution of one or more teams across multiple projects or workstreams on six to twelve-month horizons.
• Lead the technical delivery of solutions to Planet’s customers and align projects to global business and technology requirements.
• Own the technical oversight of multiple major projects, delivering on time and under budget.
• Promote agile, test-driven development and robust source control.
• Structure the team for long-term headcount and recruiting needs and foster career growth.
