Job summary

Soben, part of Accenture, seeks an experienced Estimator to lead costings for Norway projects across data centres, energy, and infrastructure. You will develop robust estimates aligned with local market conditions and global best practices.

Collaborating with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams, you will manage pre-contract estimation, quantify works, and benchmark data while mentoring junior estimators. Fluency in English is required; Norwegian language skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Professional accreditation (MRICS, AACE, ACostE, or equivalent) advantageous.
• 8–10+ years of estimating experience in construction, infrastructure, or energy sectors.
• Experience on projects in Norway or the Nordic region preferred.
• Knowledge of Norwegian standards, procurement routes, and cost drivers.
• Strong pre-contract estimating experience for large-scale projects.
• Experience with BIM and digital estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates aligned with design maturity and project requirements.
• Analyse drawings, specs, and documents to identify key cost drivers.
• Apply knowledge of Norwegian market conditions and supply chain dynamics.
• Conduct risk and opportunity analysis to support cost planning.
• Review and benchmark cost data against historical regional projects.
• Develop and maintain unit rates and pricing strategies for the Nordic market.
• Engage with local contractors and stakeholders for current pricing.
• Collaborate with engineering, commercial, and project teams to align scope and cost.
• Prepare material take-offs and quantify works from technical docs.
• Support reporting with clear estimate updates and cost movements.
• Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients.
• Review contract documentation to understand scope and cost implications.
• Mentor and support junior estimators; contribute to team capability.
• Ensure compliance with Soben and Accenture standards and local regulations.
