Job summary

wheel.me is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to lead electronic system design and hardware architecture for our robotics platforms. You will own electronic requirements, guide design choices, and ensure robust, manufacturable solutions across product lifecycles.

The role requires strong cross-domain skills, collaboration with hardware and software teams, and a focus on reliability, documentation, and continuous improvement in a growing robotics company based in Norway.

Qualifications

• Strong hardware and software understanding.
• Solid circuit theory knowledge.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout experience.
• Experience debugging cross-domain reliability issues with test equipment.
• Embedded electronics experience in robotics or automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electronic circuits and systems.
• Define and own electronic requirements and specifications.
• Design, prototype, test, and verify electronic solutions.
• Own electronic design solutions for subsystems or products.
• Manage electronic design data and documentation in the product data management system.
• Lead and contribute to design reviews and technical discussions.
• Ensure electronic documentation and design data are maintained and up to date.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
• Support production, procurement, and operations with complex technical issues.
• Mentor and guide other engineers in electronics development.
• Contribute to troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and product improvements.
