Job summary

Sperton Global AS in Trondheim, Norway, is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical/Power Engineer to join our engineering team. You will contribute to electrical solutions, processes, and tools across the full project lifecycle, from studies to commissioning and support.

The role involves offshore or onshore travel, collaboration with customers and multidisciplinary teams, and leadership on technical tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Power Engineering, Energy and Environment.
• Several years of professional experience working with electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical installations, preferably within offshore environments.
• Experience and interest in energy systems, preferably from the oil & gas industry.
• Group L trade certificate or equivalent is an advantage.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical regulations, standards, and legislation.
• Good understanding of modern electrical systems and their integration with digital and remote-control technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English.

Responsibilities

• Participate in electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to studies, project execution, testing, and commissioning.
• Provide technical support during operations.
• Develop and improve electrical systems, solutions, processes, and engineering tools.
• Contribute to the integration of electrical systems with remote-control and digital technologies.
• Collaborate closely with customers and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance within projects.
• Take on increased technical responsibility and leadership where appropriate.
• Support troubleshooting and problem-solving related to electrical systems.
• Travel offshore or to onshore facilities when required.
