Senior EHS Manager – Data Centre Construction

Job summary

Mercury is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health and safety on our Kristiansand construction sites. You will drive compliance, implement safety programs and coordinate with project teams to manage risks and incidents effectively.

The role requires extensive knowledge of Norwegian EHS regulation, strong leadership of a regional EHS team, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement across multiple large-scale data-centre related projects.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety.
• 7+ years’ experience managing EHS on large construction sites.
• Experience with data centres preferred.
• 5+ years leading a team of EHS advisors.
• Strong knowledge of environmental, health and safety legislation.
• Flexibility in working patterns; ability to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to Mercury Engineering Safety Management system and plans.
• Onboard Mercury employees and subcontractors with proper documentation.
• Develop task-specific method statements, risk assessments, and permits to work.
• Coordinate safety indicators and site audits, document findings and corrective actions.
• Maintain records of statutory inspections for project activities, tools and plant.
• Provide safety input to site management and EHS forums.
• Ensure subcontractors adhere to EHS policies and Mercury induction/training.
