Job summary

Landmark, a Halliburton company, is building a permanent Oslo-based engineering team to own the developer experience. This founding technical role defines inner-loop standards, automates audits, and enables AI-assisted development across our repositories for engineers and AI agents.

You will establish repository standards, design reference implementations, and partner with DevOps to align CI/CD, observability, and tooling.

Qualifications

• Hands-on senior or staff software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in build systems, test infrastructure, and local development environments across multiple languages and frameworks.
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows and tool integration.
• Strong written communication for standards and audit reports.
• Ability to autonomously prioritize improvements and deliver measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Establish technical standards for healthy Landmark repositories: build, test, lint expectations.
• Define deterministic environment setup and documentation requirements.
• Create machine-readable conventions for engineers and AI agents.
• Design and operate an automated audit measuring repositories against standards.
• Publish scorecards on cadence and drive remediation with owners.
• Lead remediation of pilot repositories and establish reference implementations.
• Own the agent-facing conventions layer: template, review, rollout plan.
• Integrate internal tooling with SCM, chat, issue tracking, feature management.
• Coordinate with DevOps and Platform Engineering to align tooling with CI/CD and observability.
• Represent Developer Experience in cross-functional architecture discussions and hiring.
