Job summary

Aker Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Oslo or Stavanger team. You will design, develop and deploy AI/ML solutions that deliver measurable value across engineering, project execution and operations.

You will collaborate with domain experts, developers and business stakeholders to translate challenges into scalable, reliable AI systems. We value hands-on experience with LLMs, VLMs, cloud AI platforms and modern ML frameworks, along with strong Python skills and an aptitude

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in CS, DS, software engineering, mathematics or statistics
• Experience designing, training, and deploying LLMs and VLMs
• Strong programming skills in Python and production-grade frameworks

Responsibilities

• Experiment, develop and maintain AI solutions
• Provide support and improvements to users
• Collaborate with domain experts to translate challenges into scalable solutions
• Monitor and improve existing AI solutions for reliability and performance
