Job summary

Aker Solutions is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to join our teams in Oslo or Stavanger. You will design and deliver AI-powered applications and copilots that improve decision-making and operational efficiency across engineering, operations and corporate functions.

The role requires hands-on work with AI, GenAI, RAG, and API-driven integrations. You will collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to implement scalable solutions, balancing pro-code and low-code

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology or related field
• Experience developing software applications, integrations or digital products with hands-on exposure to AI, GenAI, agentic workflows, copilots, RAG or related technologies
• Strong understanding of APIs, system integration, application architecture and modern software development practices
• Experience designing AI solutions that combine prompts, context, tools, data and business knowledge to solve practical problems
• Curious and adaptable mindset with a passion for exploring new technologies and turning AI capabilities into business value
• Fluent written and spoken English; Norwegian language skills are an advantage

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver AI-powered applications, agents and copilots to solve business challenges across engineering, operations and corporate functions
• Build and orchestrate agent workflows by integrating APIs, enterprise systems, tools and data sources
• Identify and apply appropriate technology approaches for each use case across pro-code and low-code AI platforms
• Design prompts, instructions, and retrieval strategies to improve AI outputs
• Evaluate and improve AI solutions through testing, guardrails and monitoring for production use
• Collaborate in cross-functional delivery teams to take solutions from idea to deployment
