As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will contribute to the development of advanced subsea control systems from concept through qualification and product delivery. You will work across multiple engineering disciplines to develop robust, reliable solutions that meet customer, industry and regulatory requirements.
This is a senior technical position within the New Product Development department. While the role includes technical leadership within projects and mentoring of colleagues, it does not include direct people management responsibilities.
You will join a small, highly collaborative engineering department comprising approximately 15 engineers and project professionals. Most of the team is based in Stavanger, with additional engineering resources located in Oslo. The environment is hands‑on, entrepreneurial and focused on solving complex engineering challenges through close collaboration.
NOV delivers technology‑driven equipment, systems and engineering solutions supporting offshore energy production worldwide. Within New Product Development, our engineers develop innovative technologies that improve safety, reliability and operational performance for customers operating in challenging offshore environments.
This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative subsea technologies rather than repetitive project execution. You'll influence product development from an early stage, collaborate with experienced technical specialists and contribute to solutions designed to operate reliably on the seabed for decades.
At NOV, we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. We value diversity in all its forms and believe that different perspectives drive innovation and success. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
We're looking for an engineer who is naturally curious, practical and collaborative, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for solving complex technical challenges. You'll thrive in a small engineering team where initiative, ownership and cross‑functional collaboration are highly valued.
