Job description

Job Description

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will join our Drilling Fluid Automation team and contribute to the engineering and delivery of software and automation solutions for complex drilling-fluid applications.

Your work will go beyond writing code. You will use engineering drawings, schematics, technical descriptions, and project requirements to develop and program equipment into fully functioning automated process systems. Your responsibilities will span engineering, programming, testing, documentation, and project delivery, giving you exposure to the complete lifecycle of an industrial automation solution.

The role offers an opportunity to develop practical expertise across PLC and HMI/SCADA systems while gaining exposure to broader software technologies and engineering tools. As your knowledge develops, you will have the opportunity to work more independently and take greater responsibility for technical and project deliveries.

About NOV

You will be part of a strong engineering environment, working with drilling-fluid products and the software and automation systems that control this equipment. You will join a close-knit team working together to deliver sophisticated automation solutions for drilling operations.

Why Join Us

  • Build experience in an international technology company while contributing to real customer projects.
What We Offer
  • Structured onboarding covering NOV products, engineering tools, Quality Assurance (QA), and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE).
  • Opportunities to develop expertise in PLC/HMI, software engineering, C++/C#, Qt, process automation, and system architecture.
  • Exposure to both project delivery and software development activities.
  • Opportunities to collaborate with different engineering disciplines and, when required, customers.
  • Increasing technical ownership and project delivery responsibility as your experience develops.
  • A supportive team environment focused on collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
