Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Contract Control Technical Manager to support the Control Office in London, working in a hybrid setup with 3 days on site. This senior role involves leading risk and control governance, conducting in-depth risk reviews, and driving remediation across the control environment for a 12-month engagement.

The role emphasizes collaboration with 1LoD and 2LoD, independent risk analysis, and mentoring junior officers to strengthen risk management and control capabilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive understanding of risk management frameworks and control environments.
• Deep knowledge of commercial and investment banking products and services.
• Strong awareness of market-standard risk mitigation and control design.
• Experience in risk management or control office within a major financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee risk owners and control owners to ensure risks are identified, assessed and managed.
• Ensure robust governance of risk and controls across the department.
• Provide independent analysis of the risk and control environment.
• Lead investigations of operational events to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Conduct deep-dive risk reviews to assess mitigation effectiveness and weaknesses.
• Drive remediation of weaknesses in the control environment.
• Support Control Assurance to assess operating effectiveness of controls.
• Lead initiatives to enhance risk culture within the 1LoD.
• Collaborate with 2LoD on risk policy and frameworks and oversight.
• Mentor junior control officers in risk management and controls.
