Job summary

Oodle is seeking an experienced Credit Risk leader to optimise risk strategies, affordability assessments, income verification, and provisioning. You will lead a cross-functional team of data analysts, data scientists, engineers, product leads and operations in a hybrid London/Manchester setup.

You will chair risk committees, guide long-term risk governance, and partner with multiple business units to drive data-driven decisions while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years Credit Risk experience in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent leadership and ability to coach junior colleagues.
• Strong communication to Exec/Board level.
• Deep knowledge of Credit Risk strategies and assessment.
• Proven ability to guide cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Leverage credit risk expertise to support the business and share knowledge across the org.
• Chair Credit Risk committees and present to Executive Committee and Board.
• Use loss forecasting and stress testing to guide strategy.
• Develop governance and monitoring framework for the team.
• Collaborate with product, operations, commercials, and data teams to align goals.
• Support product teams to deliver great outcomes and resolve stakeholder challenges.
• Understand regulatory landscape to balance commercial and customer needs.
• Provide day-to-day sponsorship and development to junior members.
