KONGSBERG Discovery is seeking a senior concept lead to translate early ideas into credible system concepts for undersea warfare, coordinating business development, operational needs and technology within the Uncrewed Platforms team.

You will work at the intersection of strategy, engineering and research, shaping concepts that can be assessed, prioritized and demonstrated across our product portfolio and new technologies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience with complex maritime, defence or autonomous systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
• Understanding of system architecture across engineering disciplines.
• Ability to shape new maritime capabilities from the earliest concept stage.
• Collaboration with specialists in autonomous maritime systems, sensors and software.
• Role combines analysis, concept development, testing and demonstrations.

Responsabilités

• Shape and prioritise opportunities: Turn operational and market needs into credible concepts and decision-ready recommendations.
• Develop and assess system concepts: Combine capabilities and assess architecture, gaps, resources, dependencies and risks.
• Coordinate early-phase concepts: Bring together commercial, product, engineering and research teams for feasibility work, experiments and demonstrations.
• Move concepts into execution: Transfer prioritised concepts with clear scope and ownership, support roadmaps and customer dialogue.
