Job summary

Abtrace is seeking a mid-senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join its infrastructure team in a hybrid London/Porto setup. You will design and manage AWS environments, ensure high availability, and implement secure API management and data pipelines.

You will bridge infrastructure stability with automated deployment via GitHub Actions and provide a seamless developer experience using CodeArtifact and Datadog. Collaboration with Architecture, Software, and Data teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Cloud/DevOps role within AWS.
• Proven ability to design and implement complex cloud architectures.
• Strong SDLC and deployment security practices.
• Autonomous with collaboration across Architecture, Software, and Data teams.
• Experience with IaC checks using Checkov/Trivy.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise AWS footprint, VPCs, subnets, and secure networking.
• Deploy and scale API Gateways and serverless functions.
• Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data flows.
• Own GitHub Actions workflows and release automation.
• Monitor with Datadog and implement proactive alerting.
• Manage IAM, SSM Parameter Store, and Secrets Manager.
