Job summary
KONGSBERG is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Navigation Software Team and advance our INS software for autonomous marine robots. You will work on real-time navigation and post-processing, delivering high accuracy in challenging maritime environments.
You will design and implement advanced navigation algorithms, sensor fusion, and integration with hardware and system components, collaborating across product development, testing and production to influence the full lifecycle from
Qualifications
- MSc/PhD in cybernetics, mathematics/physics, computer science or similar; experience can compensate.
- C++ programming and modern C++ knowledge; strong coding skills.
- 3+ years as software engineer with navigation focus: inertial navigation, stochastic sensor fusion, ML for navigation, state estimation and tracking.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technical results within the team area; design, specify, develop, test and analyze software systems.
- Contribute to sea trials in the Oslo fjord to test new developments.
- Collaborate with product development, testing and production to influence full lifecycle of navigation solutions.
