Design and implement advanced navigation algorithms, stochastic sensor fusion, and core INS software for autonomous marine robotic platforms.
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Navigation Software Team and help shape the next generation of autonomous marine navigation solutions.
The team is responsible for the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the core Inertial Navigation System (INS) software used across our portfolio of marine robotic platforms. Our navigation solution includes both real-time navigation capabilities and post-processing functionality, delivering industry-leading accuracy and reliability in challenging maritime environments.
As a key member of the team, you will work on the design and implementation of advanced navigation algorithms, stochastic sensor fusion techniques, and integration of inertial and aiding sensors. You will play a central role in developing the core INS technology, ensuring seamless integration across software, hardware, and system-level components.
The team collaborates closely with product development, testing, and production organizations, giving you the opportunity to influence the complete lifecycle of our navigation solutions, from research and development to deployment in the field.
You will join a highly skilled group of navigation specialists and software engineers who are passionate about creating some of the world's most advanced and robust navigation systems for autonomous marine robots.
You will be responsible for the delivery of technical results within the teams area. On a day-to-day basis you will be involved in software system design, specification, development, implementation, test, and analysis. You will have the opportunity to join our operators on sea trials in the Oslo fjord to test and verify new developments.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate competence through previous employment, research, thesis work, substantial personal projects, or relevant university coursework with a strong focus on navigation, estimation, sensor fusion, or related disciplines.
This employment requires a pre-employment check procedure and security clearance in accordance with company security standards, role, or site requirements. Please note that this might affect the offer process or employment.
