Job summary

KONGSBERG is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Navigation Software Team and help shape autonomous marine navigation solutions. You will work on core INS software, integrate inertial sensors, and develop advanced navigation algorithms for real-time and post-processing use.

You will collaborate with product development, testing, and production teams to ensure robust software across hardware and system levels.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in cybernetics, mathematics, physics, CS or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years as a software engineer.
• Experience in inertial navigation, stochastic sensor fusion, ML, or state estimation.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical results within the team area.
• Design, develop, test, and analyze software systems for INS and navigation.
• Participate in sea trials in the Oslofjord to verify new developments.
