Job summary

Gapit Nordics is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead and deliver automation projects for diverse clients. You will manage projects from idea through implementation, with a focus on energy optimization and robust data center control systems.

The role requires strong PLC and HMI experience, hands-on electrical know-how, and the ability to collaborate closely with customers. Norwegian and English fluency, plus willingness to travel, are essential.

Qualifications

3+ years of programming and automation experience, including Codesys and structured text.
Hands-on experience as an automation electrician or engineer, with power and electrical systems expertise.
Strong understanding of PLC systems, control design, and project execution.
Experience with HMI design, testing, and maintenance of automation systems.
Fluent in Norwegian and English; willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor team members in automation projects and act as a key resource.
Ensure high quality and energy optimization for data-center related projects and PMS/BMS.
Collaborate with customers to deliver tailored automation solutions and provide technical guidance.
Design, configure, and maintain automation systems including PLCs and HMI components.
Oversee commissioning, testing, and implementation from architecture to troubleshooting.
