Job summary

Oslo municipality seeks a Section Manager for Kjøpmannsgården housing, overseeing 27 staff with responsibility for quality, safety, and service delivery. You will lead daily operations, recruit and develop staff, and coordinate with health services and partners to meet goals and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a strong leader with extensive experience with service users with extensive disabilities and a track record in organizational development and resource planning.

Qualifications

• A strong and confident professional with extensive experience from working with the user group.
• Minimum health and/or social science bachelor's degree.
• Good knowledge of HOL chapter 9.
• Leadership education is desirable; equivalent leadership experience acceptable.
• Experience with systems such as Gat, Gerica, Acos Websak, Webcruiter, HR, Agresso, Office.

Job description

The Unit for Facilitated Services is responsible for the operation of service offerings for people with disabilities in the district. This now includes 8 homes, a day center, and a canteen project. There are approximately 120 full-time equivalents associated with the unit.

The services are located throughout the district, but due to the district's size the service locations are within walking distance of each other. The homes have somewhat different user groups, but common to all homes is that we shall have good quality in the services and develop the services in line with central requirements and expectations. We focus on professional and competence development. We collaborate in a team with the unit manager, and have established a dedicated professional forum for 3-year environmental therapists across the services in the unit.

Kjøpmannsgården housing is a residence for 5 people with extensive care needs. There are 14.7 full-time equivalents associated with the home - distributed across 27 permanent positions. We are looking for a manager with adequate health and social professional competence who is innovative and development-oriented. A clear leader with good relational competence, the ability to inspire and involve employees in working towards common goals. This requires the ability to collaborate with the specialist health service and other municipal actors.

As the leader of the section you must have a genuine interest in working with people with extensive disabilities.

Responsibilities

The Section Manager has overall responsibility for the operation of the section.

This includes:

• Responsibility for leading and quality-assuring the work in the section
• Daily facilitation and work distribution within the area
• Personnel responsibility for 27 employees, as well as administrative, professional and financial responsibility for the section
• Recruitment, training and guidance of employees.
• Ensure a sound service offering in accordance with decisions, the users' needs and applicable laws/regulations

Qualifications

A strong and confident professional with extensive experience from working with the user group

Very good oral and written communication skills
Minimum health and/or social science bachelor's degree - preferably social educator (vernepleier)/nurse.

Good knowledge of HOL chapter 9.

Desirable to have leadership education. Adequate leadership experience can replace further education. Mentor competence is desirable
Desirable experience with systems such as Gat, Gerica, Acos Websak, Webcruiter, HR, Agresso, Office.
