Job summary

iO Associates is seeking an SCC-cleared Software & Systems Engineer for an on-site London role supporting critical law-enforcement applications. You’ll handle a mix of bespoke and legacy systems across development, infrastructure, databases, containers, and application support.

The position requires active SC clearance, is based on-site in London, and offers a contract length of 6–12 months with a daily rate up to £650 inside IR35.

• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and developing a range of bespoke and legacy applications.
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues across applications, infrastructure and systems.
• Developing and maintaining solutions using Python/Java.
• Working extensively with Linux / Red Hat.
• Managing and troubleshooting SQL and relational databases.
• Supporting virtual infrastructure and application deployments.
• Monitoring system health and investigating performance issues.
• Managing incidents and supporting operationally critical applications.
• Contributing across different engineering disciplines wherever required.
• Working with development and technical teams to identify and implement improvements.
