Job description

Techstep is a full-service provider of mobile technology. Our solutions contribute to positive change in the workday by enabling employees to work more efficiently, securely, and sustainably. We support customers who want to work smarter, while also helping them deliver on their ESG commitments. With almost 200 employees across Norway, Sweden and Poland, we assist over 2,000 large and mid-sized customers in Europe. Techstep is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange under the TECH ticker.

Techstep is developing rapidly, and we are looking for an ambitious, hands-on, and technology-driven SAP & Finance Transformation Lead who can grow with the role. You will own the day-to-day operation, support, governance, and continued development of SAP S/4HANA and related Finance solutions.

You will also lead the mapping, redesign, and automation of end-to-end Finance processes across accounting, banking and payments, master data, invoicing, reporting and integrations.

Working at the intersection of Finance, technology, and operations, you will translate business needs into practical and user-friendly solutions, and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, control, and scalability across Norway, Sweden, and Poland.

The position reports to the CFO and involves close collaboration with the Finance team, business stakeholders, IT, banks, and external system partners.

Main Responsibilities
  • Take hands-on functional ownership of SAP Finance operations, administration, support, governance, and the development roadmap, linking priorities to measurable process improvements and business outcomes
  • Manage SAP access, roles, authorizations, periodic access reviews, and license usage
  • Own the Finance governance and continuous improvement of master data processes, working with relevant business owners across customer, supplier, service product, chart-of-accounts, payment-term, tax, cost-center, and profit-center data
  • Map, analyse, standardize, and automate banking and payment processes, including bank integrations, payment runs, electronic bank statements, automatic clearing, and bank reconciliation, in collaboration with Treasury and banking partners
  • Act as the Finance functional owner for supplier and customer invoicing solutions, electronic invoicing, SAP integrations, and recurring Finance jobs, working with IT and system partners to identify and implement automation opportunities
  • Lead Finance system incidents and enhancement requests from process mapping, root-cause analysis, and solution design through testing, documentation, implementation, and post-implementation benefits review
  • Represent Finance in SAP governance and release activities, assess impacts on Finance processes, and support country-specific requirements across countries
  • Build and manage prioritized Finance systems and process improvement roadmap. Establish baselines and KPIs, and document measurable gains in cycle time, manual effort, data quality, control effectiveness, reporting, standardization, and user experience through automation and practical use of AI.
Desired Qualifications
  • Relevant experience from Finance systems, ERP, process improvement, or a comparable role, with the ability to take ownership of operational issues and improvement initiatives
  • Good understanding of end-to-end Finance processes, including record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, master data, banking, payments, reporting, segregation of duties and internal controls
  • Practical experience with ERP systems, Finance technology, integrations, or systems administration, including hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA. Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud is an advantage.
  • Experience in mapping and standardising end-to-end Finance processes across countries, documenting current and future states, identifying root causes and control gaps, and contributing to automation or process improvements with measurable results
  • Experience translating management reporting needs into master data, reporting dimensions, mapping, and integration requirements
  • A strong digital and process-oriented mindset, with enthusiasm for workflow automation, analytics, AI, and using data to demonstrate improvements in Finance operations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English
Who are You?

We are looking for someone with strong drive, curiosity, and a genuine interest in how Finance systems and processes work together. You approach problems analytically, learn systems quickly, and engage users to map workflows, challenge inefficient practices, and design simpler, more automated processes. You establish baselines, define relevant measures, and follow improvements through until the expected benefits are demonstrated.

You are pragmatic, structured, and collaborative, and you communicate effectively with both Finance professionals and technical specialists. You are not expected to know everything from day one, but you must be motivated to build deep Finance systems expertise and take ownership from problem identification to measurable results.

We Offer

Techstep offers an opportunity to take meaningful responsibility, work closely with senior decision-makers, and develop as a Finance system and process improvement professional. You will help shape how the Group designs and executes Finance processes and uses SAP, integrations, data, automation, and AI.

The role gives you room to test ideas, implement practical solutions, and demonstrate tangible improvements in efficiency, quality, control, and user experience. You will join motivated and highly competent colleagues across Finance and the wider business.
