Job summary

OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University is seeking a Research Assistant for the ERC-funded CAMELOT project. The role supports theoretical and experimental work on long-term climate governance, with tasks spanning literature synthesis, memo creation, and preparation of publications.

The position offers hands-on experience in an ambitious international project, with close collaboration with the PI and research team, suitable for advancing academic research skills and PhD aspirations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (or near completion) in political science, public administration, environmental governance, sustainability science, environmental social science, or related field.
• Strong skills in finding, evaluating, and synthesizing academic literature.
• Strong analytical and academic writing skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work carefully, independently, and systematically while contributing to a collaborative research environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify, collect, organize, and synthesize relevant academic literature across multiple fields.
• Prepare research summaries and memos to support publications.
• Support manuscript preparation, including reference management and formatting.
• Assist in developing experimental treatments through literature reviews and research meetings.
• Research potential partners, sites, and resources for CAMELOT's experimental work.
