Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an engineering leader to direct a talented team in a fully remote, globally distributed environment. You will blend technical judgment with people leadership to help engineers ship high-value software while shaping the product direction.

You’ll work closely with Product, Design and Success to balance new features, technical investments, and product quality, removing obstacles and guiding teams through complex problems with autonomy and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• 2+ years engineering management experience or equivalent.
• Strong fundamentals; background in Clojure or React/TypeScript.
• Able to read code and discuss technical designs.
• Strong product sense; translate requirements into engineering solutions.
• Able to debug project execution and adjust plans.
• Coaching in flat orgs with limited structure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for async collaboration.
• Ability to work with globally distributed teams and maintain autonomy.
• Outcome-oriented mindset focusing on long-term value.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and support a team of engineers to deliver high-quality features.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Success to plan the roadmap balancing features and tech debt.
• Coach engineers and support career development in a low-structure environment.
• Remove blockers and improve team processes to increase iteration speed.
• Review designs, code, and proposals to clarify requirements and reduce risk.
• Hire, onboard, and cultivate top contributors and a collaborative culture.
