Job summary

MaineHealth’s Stephens Hospital in Norway, Maine, is seeking a Per Diem Pediatric RN for day shift to join our ambulatory care team. You will care for infants, children and adolescents, perform assessments, administer vaccines and medications, assist with procedures, and educate families in a supportive, family-centered environment.

You’ll work with pediatric providers and a collaborative care team, building relationships with patients and families while continually expanding your nursing skills

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level after onboarding requirements.

Join the Pediatrics team at Stephens Hospital in Norway, Maine, as a Per Diem, day shift Registered Nurse and become part of a compassionate, collaborative team dedicated to providing exceptional, family-centered care.

As a Pediatric RN, you'll work closely with pediatric providers and other members of the healthcare team to care for infants, children, and adolescents. You'll perform patient assessments, administer medications and immunizations, assist with procedures, provide patient and family education, coordinate care, and help families navigate both routine healthcare needs and acute or chronic conditions.

This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with children and their families while using a broad range of nursing skills. Summary

The MH Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care role provides high quality care to patients and families calling or presenting for care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.

MH RN II: This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level included automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I – must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).

The pay range for this position is $34.35to $46.46 per hour.

Compensation for part‑time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full‑time equivalent (FTE).
