Job summary

Sonar is hiring for a strategic HRBP and Employee Relations specialist to support EMEA and APAC leaders from London and across our global hubs. You will manage casework end-to-end, lead investigations, and align People strategies with regional regulatory contexts.

You will partner with the Head of Employment Law on high-stakes matters, maintain ER frameworks, and coach managers to reduce risk while driving organizational health and manager capability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years combining HR Business Partner work with employee relations case management or workplace investigations.
• Direct experience partnering with employment law counsel on complex, high-stakes cases.
• Experience supporting EMEA and/or APAC populations, comfortable with multiple legal systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic HRBP for leaders across EMEA and APAC, advising on org design, workforce planning, performance, and team dynamics with data and a point of view.
• Use HRBP dashboards and org health data to prepare insights for leadership and managers, flag risks early.
• Support integration and onboarding for new EMEA/APAC hires, coordinating with Recruiting and People Ops on productivity and onboarding quality.
• Translate global People strategy into guidance that works across regulatory and cultural contexts in EMEA and APAC.
• Own employee relations cases end-to-end across EMEA and APAC, including investigations and exit processes.
• Lead workplace investigations with rigor and discretion, producing findings and recommendations.
• Partner with Head of Employment Law on high-risk cases, ensuring compliant practices across jurisdictions.
• Build and maintain ER case management frameworks and policies, adapting to evolving regulation.
• Train managers on early intervention and proactive feedback to reduce ER case volume over time.
• Report ER metrics, case volume, and risk exposure to leadership with data-backed insights.
