Job summary

Workshop Bemanning og Kompetanse AS is seeking experienced HSE Inspectors to support a major data center commissioning project in Oslo. This is a site-based role with an immediate start, with the project running initially until year-end and potential extension based on needs.

You will ensure commissioning activities adhere to Norwegian regulations, client procedures, and project requirements, working closely with commissioning teams and contractors to maintain a strong safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• Relevant HSE qualification or documented HSE competence in line with Norwegian requirements.
• 3-5 years of HSE experience from construction, commissioning, industrial, or critical infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of Norwegian HSE legislation and regulations.
• Understanding of RAMS, PTW, LOTO, and risk assessments.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and/or Norwegian.
• Immediate start on a major data center commissioning project.
• Possibility of contract extension depending on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular HSE inspections, observations, and site walks.
• Monitor compliance with risk assessments, RAMS, PTW procedures, and pre-task briefings.
• Oversee high-risk activities including electrical and mechanical commissioning works.
• Verify that control measures, barriers, signage, and emergency arrangements are in place.
• Identify unsafe acts and conditions, ensuring corrective actions are followed through.
• Support LOTO and energy isolation activities.
• Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and HSE coordination meetings.
• Support incident and near-miss reporting and investigations.
• Maintain HSE records and provide regular reporting.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and intervene when immediate risks are identified.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of HSE experience from construction, commissioning, industrial, or critical infrastructure projects.
• Experience from data centers and/or commissioning projects is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of Norwegian HSE legislation and regulations.
• Understanding of RAMS, PTW, LOTO, risk assessments, and contractor management.
• Experience supporting electrical and mechanical commissioning activities.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in English and/or Norwegian.
