Job summary

Head Energy Consulting AS is seeking experienced HSE, quality and compliance professionals for project engagements on major data centre construction projects across Norway. Roles cover site safety, multidisciplinary quality coordination and commissioning quality, with rotation according to project needs and locations.

We value candidates with HSE/QA/QC backgrounds, knowledge of ITPs/NCRs/punch lists, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Relevant education in HSE, engineering, quality management, construction or equivalent documented experience.
• Documented experience from data centre projects is preferred.
• Experience in construction HSE, QA/QC, compliance or commissioning quality.
• Knowledge of ITPs, NCRs, punch lists, quality records and turnover documentation.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Support project HSE and quality management, ensuring activities follow approved procedures, client requirements and applicable regulations.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, safety walks, quality audits and contractor follow-up across construction disciplines.
• Coordinate quality activities and priorities across discipline inspectors and controllers, identifying interface gaps and outstanding actions.
• Review and follow up inspection and test plans (ITPs), inspection records, test reports, certificates and handover documentation.
• Register, investigate and follow up incidents, observations, non-conformances (NCRs), root causes and corrective actions.
• Monitor contractors and suppliers, supporting consistent working methods, checklists, reporting routines and quality standards.
• Work closely with project management, construction, client representatives, discipline leads and commissioning teams.
• Coordinate quality readiness for testing and commissioning, including punch close-out, documentation status and system handover.
• Prepare HSE and quality reports, highlight risks and trends, and promote a proactive safety and continuous improvement culture.

Head Energy is seeking experienced HSE, Quality and Compliance professionals for project engagements on major data centre construction projects in Norway.

• We are looking for candidates with backgrounds in HSE, QA/QC, quality coordination or commissioning quality. Depending on experience, the roles may focus on site safety, multidisciplinary quality follow-up or coordinating inspection and handover activities.

Key responsibilities

• Good understanding of risk management, inspections, audits, incident investigation and/or non-conformance follow-up.
• Familiarity with ITPs, NCRs, punch lists, quality records, turnover documentation and project reporting is relevant.
• Knowledge of Norwegian HSE requirements, ISO 9001 or ISO 45001 is an advantage, depending on role focus.
• Experience as HSE Advisor, HSE Manager, QA/QC Engineer, Quality Coordinator, Quality Lead or Compliance Specialist is relevant.
• Structured and systematic, with strong attention to safety, compliance and quality.
• Proactive, independent and comfortable setting priorities in a busy construction environment.
• Collaborative and clear in communication with site teams, contractors and stakeholders.

Language requirements

• Fluent written and spoken English is required, including technical reporting and documentation.
