Job summary

TechnipFMC in Kongsberg, Norway, is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to support the Life of Field quality program and ensure compliance with subsea standards. You will work with product development, manufacturing and service teams to identify defects, perform CAPAs, and drive process improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor degree or equivalent in QA, Norwegian and English proficiency, and 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Higher education holding a Bachelor degree in related field, or equivalent work experience from Quality Assurance related work
• Good technical understanding and knowledge of subsea system, technology and products
• Experience with quality methodologies used within Lean Six Sigma or similar frameworks
• Required minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, or similar RCA techniques
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes, develop sustainable solutions, and drive improvements through cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to work systematically and independently and to define and reach milestones
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment
• Good cooperation skills
• Able to make decisions and push actions through the organisation
• Motivated to learn about TechnipFMC products & processes
• Good skills in Norwegian and English language, verbal and written
• Analytical skills with attention to details, and the ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and drive improvements
• Experience in problem solving methods e.g., 8D and different root cause analysis methods
• Knowledge of related work processes and procedures required for sufficient execution of daily tasks
• Knowledge in relevant laws and regulations and industry standards like ISO, API and NORSOK
• Proficiency in using following tools and systems: SAP, transactions needed for QN handling, Part review, Equipment review, Finding Documents, Purchase Order review, Containment, Teamcenter with Reviewer authority, DBI part report, ADOBE and MS OFFICE

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining high quality standards and prevent defects from design to Life of Field
• Support Global programs like QIPPs and SSI Initiatives and lead local implementations
• Ensure products, processes, and systems meet standards and requirements
• Collaborate with Quality Leads and Quality Response Team on ongoing tasks
• Maintain ITPs for relevant products, tenders and customers
• Create and maintain quality documentation (SOPs, manuals, reports)
• Identify root causes and develop CAPA with cross-functional teams
• Train and mentor team members on quality standards and processes
• Input data for planning annual PV and CSS program
• Stay updated with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Ensure product and contractual requirements are understood in Product Engineering and with suppliers
• Maintain standard Mechanical Completion Check Records for products
• Lead and facilitate quality investigations and RCA implementation
• Analyze quality performance data and drive initiatives to reduce risks, scrap, rework, warranty costs
