Job summary

TechnipFMC plc in Kongsberg seeks a Quality Engineer to assist in setting and maintaining high quality standards from design through Life of Field. You will work with product development, manufacturing, and customer service to prevent defects, drive continuous improvement, and ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.

The role involves supporting QIPPs and SSI initiatives, leading CAPA, performing RCA, maintaining QA documentation, and collaborating across teams to resolve quality issues and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in Quality Assurance.
• Strong technical understanding of subsea systems, technology and products.
• Experience with quality methodologies (Lean Six Sigma or similar).
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with RCA techniques (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• Strong analytical skills and cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining high quality standards from design to Life of Field.
• Collaborate with product development, manufacturing and customer service to identify quality issues and drive improvements.
• Support quality programs and initiatives (QIPPs, SSI).
• Maintain quality documentation: SOPs, quality manuals, and reports.
• Lead quality investigations, RCA and CAPA implementations.
• Analyze quality performance data to reduce scrap, rework and warranty costs.
