Job Description

Reporting Line: Group Head, Internal Audit, Control & Compliance

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Salary: ₦300,000 Monthly

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance & Control Officer (QA/C Officer) will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving quality and control processes across the organization. The role ensures compliance with regulatory standards while supporting continuous improvement in healthcare service delivery. The officer will collaborate with both medical and non-medical teams to uphold quality standards across all units.

Responsibilities
Internal Control
  • Conduct pre-payment checks on all payment requests.
  • Perform daily transaction call-overs and provide weekly reports.
  • Review reconciliations of assets, balances, and transactions, resolving discrepancies.
  • Carry out periodic stock inspections and submit exception reports.
  • Provide quality assurance oversight across medical business units and portfolio companies.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and report system deficiencies.
  • Support the department with additional assigned tasks.
Quality Assurance
  • Plan and coordinate the organization’s quality assurance programs in line with regulatory and ISO15189 standards.
  • Develop and implement quality management SOPs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct operational evaluations to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g., Federal Ministry of Health, MLSCN, NNRA).
  • Facilitate training sessions on quality management and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across clinical and operational units.
  • Maintain effective communication with healthcare teams and stakeholders.
  • Participate in professional development and mandatory training programs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Sciences or a related field
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Prior experience in Quality Assurance is an added advantage
  • Good understanding of diagnostics, pharmacy, and hospital operations
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards and compliance
